Ganaway Activity Centre
Ganaway Activity and Training Centre is a 13 acre site in the quiet countryside
between Millisle and Ballywalter in the Ards Peninsula and overlooking the
Irish Sea.
The central heated indoor modern and well appointed accommodation can cater for
mixed gender groups with sleeping, self-catering and disabled facilities.
Ganaway is owned by the Belfast Battalion of the Boys’ Brigade and are available
to non-BB youth groups and schools as well as BB units.
In managing the centre the Boys’ Brigade seek to provide a neutral and
non-threatening environment and to encourage the development of
responsible citizenship by facilitating activities to enhance self
awareness, self esteem and an awareness of and respect for different
cultures and beliefs.
Accommodation is available in any of the following which can be booked
singly or in combination to suit the size of the group.

11 Bedrooms on two floors each bedroom sleeping 2 persons

Campsite
Facilities are available for Canvas Camping with an Ablutions Block containing separate Male and
Female toilets, showers and washrooms and dishwashing room
Excellent on-site facilities include:
Large Sports hall, Games
room with full size snooker table, ouitdoor worship area, spacious open
recreation area, barbeque equipment, safe beach and bathing, giant chess &
draughts, table tennis and other indoor games.
 Outdoor activities include:
Canoeing, Climbing/Abseiling on our outdoor climbing wall., Archery, Orienteering,
Ropes Course, Team Building Exercises, Nightline.
Qualified instructors are available for all ages and levels of abilities.
All outdoor equipment is provided.
Prices range from £6.50 per person per night (self catering midweek) and
£7.50 per person per night (self catering weekend)
